Preparing for Your Appointment

We want you to have a great experience when you come to our office: please consider the following to receive maximum benefit

-
Carefully review your problems and briefly summarize them in writing. This is the most important element you can bring to our encounter
-
Dress in loose-fitting, casual attire. Bring sweatpants or shorts and a t-shirt. Try to avoid dresses, lycra/spandex, and thick or textured fabrics
-
Avoid being either too full or too hungry for your treatment. Try not to eat right away after the treatment, but do drink plenty of water the day of your appointment
-
Avoid strenuous or unusual activity after your treatment. Heavy lifting, bending or reaching can disturb the corrections. Take care with posture, prolonged sitting, and hot baths. Conserve your energy.
-
Do not receive massage, physical therapy or chiropractic treatments around the time of your treatment, without consulting with the doctor first. Medical and osteopathic care, physical therapy, chiropractic, massage, and exercise require coordination
-
Get a good night’s rest the night before and the night of your appointment. You may become very tired, achy or sore the evening of the treatment. This may persist a few days so take care not to overdo it after your treatment
-
Discuss any significant travel plans or other medical care that might coincide with your appointments
-
Please plan a full hour for your appointments with us. We take the time to look at your situation in depth. Time is required for check-in and scheduling and payments. Sometimes patients require extra time or are late. We do our best to stay on time and appreciate your forbearance.
COVID-19 PROCEDURES
At Laseter Osteopathic, the health and safety of our patients is the first priority. To provide our patients with the best care and safety, we are continuing the following practices in our office, per CDC recommendations for healthcare facilities. While we know these procedures are not the most comfortable, it is important to follow them to protect all of our patients and our staff.
If you or a member of your household is experiencing any fever, cough, or respiratory issue, we ask that you refrain from making an appointment at this time. If you are unsure about your symptoms, please call our office at 717-394-2071. You will be asked specific questions regarding your symptoms to determine if we will be able to see you.
IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE BREATHING ALONG WITH COLD AND RESPIRATORY SYMPTOMS, SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY or call 911.
-
Please refrain from bringing multiple people with you for your visit, as we are limiting the number people in our waiting room.
-
Patients will be taken back to the treatment room immediately after arrival whenever possible.
-
Please NO FOOD or EATING in our office at this time.
-
Patients who have tested POSITIVE for Covid-19, or are awaiting results of a Covid-19 test, regardless of whether they are experiencing symptoms or not, until the required isolation/quarantine time has been completed, or they have received a negative Covid-19 test result, will not be able to be seen. Please call our office to reschedule your appointment.
Our Office is equipped with HEPA air filters in our waiting areas and each treatment room. We thoroughly clean and sanitize each treatment room after each patient, per CDC recommendations, and with a CDC approved cleaner.
Additional Office Policies
CELL PHONE USE
We request that patients refrain from cell phone use in the office. If you must use your cell phone, you can step outside where you will not disturb other patients.

PARENT INFORMATION
So that you may receive the best treatment possible, you may want to arrange childcare for babies and young children who might have difficulty being patient while their parent is being cared for. Young children and babies in the treatment room can prevent parents from receiving effective care. Experience has shown that osteopathic care requires the patients’ full attention during the procedures. Our staff are happy to help watch your child or baby if you cannot arrange babysitting!
